Maintenance Tech
Compensation:
- Wage: $18 to $25 an hour D.O.E.
- Medical, 401K and PTO
- Hours are Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. FULL TIME
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for addressing an array of apartment and property maintenance duties as specified by the Maintenance Supervisor, and for maintaining the highest standards in customer service and curb appeal of the assigned apartment community.
Essential Job Functions
Perform various maintenance functions including repairs to the following: electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, and grounds maintenance.
Assist with management of property emergencies, such as snow and other inclement weather, emergencies, fires, and floods.
Assist with vendor management and vendor quality control.
Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal, and interacts courteously and professionally with current and potential residents at all times.
Preserve and respect applicant and resident confidentiality.
Adhere to all company policies, rules and regulations.
Position Requirements
Ability to work successfully with a variety of personality types.
Exhibit overall dependability to able to consistently meet deadlines.
Must be licensed and able to drive a company vehicle.
Required to observe company dress code policy.
Required to maintain a regular schedule which may require working overtime, weekends and non-traditional holidays.
Employee must be able to lift and or move, up to 100 pounds.
Climb and work on ladders; climb stairs.
Work with arms raised over head.
Stand/walk/sit for long periods of time.
Bend at waist and knees to lift boxes, appliances, shovel snow, etc.
Ability to tolerate extreme climate change dependent on the season and location.
Repetitive motion with body extremities including: hand, knees, wrist, hips, feet etc.
