Job Summary:
West Bros. Contractors is seeking an experienced Pipelayer that wants to join a team that works a 4 – 10 work schedule, has majority of work local (Deer Park) and values safety and quality workmanship above production. Applicants must be knowledgeable and proficient installing underground utilities ( Sanitary, Storm, Water). This is a key role that is supported and respected as a leader for in underground operations. West Bros. offers opportunities for paid training, good pay and benefits as well as career advancements.
Pay:$28-38/hour (Based on Experience and Reputation)
Benefits:Medical/Dental/Vision after 90 days
IRA with Company match up to 3%
Duties / Responsibilities:
Preplanning operations with Site Supervision (Layout, Materials, Shoring, Ops, etc.)
Implementation of SAFETY Protocols and Procedures.
Quality Control of completed work (Materials, Installation, Testing)
Crew lead; Ensuring grade, alignment, elevations, workmanship, etc.
Proper protection; Compaction in the pipe zone
Tools; Care and Maintenance of pipe-laying tools and associated equipment
Problem solving skills
Communication Skills: Crew, Supervision, Municipalities, etc.
Variation: tasks beyond Pipelaying, water truck, operating, etc.
Will train on the latest GPS technologies and techniques.
Physically demanding position often in difficult environmental conditions.
