Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Hot Shot Driver to join our framing company. This role involves transporting construction materials, tools, and equipment to job sites in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate is punctual, detail-oriented, and familiar with handling loads related to residential and commercial framing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a pickup truck or flatbed trailer to deliver framing materials and tools to various job sites.
Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate effectively with site supervisors and warehouse staff.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Assist with material inventory and organization when not on delivery runs.
Respond to urgent delivery requests and schedule changes with flexibility.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL not required but a plus).
Proven experience in hot shot driving or delivery in a construction or framing environment.
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 75 lbs).
Strong time management and communication skills.
Familiarity with GPS and route planning tools.
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
Preferred Skills:
Forklift certification or experience.
Basic understanding of framing materials (e.g., lumber, sheathing, fasteners).
Experience working in a fast-paced construction environment.
