Ponty trucking LLC is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Driver to join our team. If you have a passion for transporting equipment and materials safely and efficiently, along with a strong commitment to professionalism, we invite you to apply for this position.
As a hot shot Driver, you will be responsible for safely loading construction equipment, machinery, and materials to and from shippers and receivers. Your role will involve securing the load properly, and adhering to all transportation regulations. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the successful and timely completion of projects.
Have and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications required by Federal, State, and County.
Good driving record.
Flexibility to work weekends or overtime as needed.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance tasks on trucks and trailers.
Ability to read and interpret maps, GPS systems, and transportation routes.
Attention to detail and commitment to safety in all aspects of the job.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading equipment and materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:
Safely load, transport, and unload heavy construction equipment, machinery, and materials. There will be times requiring an early start.
Able to pass a pre employment DOT drug test and willing to participate in random DOTs.
Secure loads and ensure they comply with all safety standards and regulations.
Inspect your truck and equipment before and after each trip.
Plan and coordinate routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery to job sites.
Complete all necessary paperwork
Comply with all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards.
Communicate effectively with team members,
Assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials as needed.
Follow company policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
Acquire necessary permits.
