The live-in model allows for structure in a client's home environment. Our live-in Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work a 7 day on/7 day off schedule. You will be required to live in the individual's home on-location and will be paid 16 hours a day (minus any unpaid break time). Live-in DSPs work approximately two weeks per month and earn full-time pay plus overtime. Bi-weekly compensation will be for 105 hours (25 of which are paid at a rate of time and a half). You will also be paid for any interrupted sleep time, if applicable. Live-ins are also provided with a weekly food budget during your week on. You will receive one 7-hour break during your scheduled shift.Job Duties: Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment Follow all support plans to ensure that care is person centered, which includes helping individuals reach their goals and overcome behavioral challenges.Support levels could include but are not limited to: verbal assistance, partial and/or full physical assistance, and performing personal care tasks as needed, which may include dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.  Maintain cleanliness of the home and meal preparation Employees may need to handle and de-escalate inappropriate behavior from the individuals such as verbal and/or physical aggressionAssist the individual(s) in the community such as appointments, shopping and personal outings, etc.Use public transportation on community outings (free of charge for support staff) – These outings can happen any time of the year, we cannot decline to assist the individual due to weather conditions- unless it is deemed a health and safety risk.
