Seeking MA-C for Medical Assistant opportunities in Vancouver Description:Family Clinic in Vancouver. Ideal candidates will have proven excellent customer services skills, demonstrate an enthusiastic & professional demeanor, and excel at multi-tasking. Medical Assistants are an integral part of the care team; ensuring patient flow and providing quality patient care in a safe and timely manner. Responsibilities: Obtains patients’ history and takes vital signs: temperature, pulse, blood pressure and weight/height Answers and responds to patients phone calls Schedules laboratory tests, x-rays, special tests and procedures as instructed by the clinician Correctly label all specimens Perform blood draws Enters patient’s medical history into EMR (Epic) Works collaboratively with other members of the health care team Audits coding after patient encounter completed to verify services rendered are documented in EMR correctly Maintains a clean working environment Assists clinician in completing work release (FMLA) paperwork Reviews and maintains various logs and records Assist the medical provider with charting office visits; ensuring communication and documentation for comprehensive patient care coordinationClinic/Shift Hours:40 hours per week, M-F, 8a-5pSkills:MA-C, Certified Medical Assistant, medical assistant, Epic, Ehr, Emr, family medicine, primary care, Medical assisting, Phlebotomy, Electronic health record, Triage, pediatricsTop Skills Details:MA-C,Certified Medical Assistant,medical assistantAdditional Skills & Qualifications:MUST HAVES: High School Diploma or GED Washington State MA Cert (will ONLY accept MA-C) Experience with EMRs - Epic experience is preferred BLS & CPR certs Works well with teams/team player Strong communication skills both written and orally
