Responsibilities:Manage the relationship between the HP Privacy Office and HR

Proactively develop privacy solutions to mature the privacy capabilities of HP HR

Document and maintain an inventory of HR personal data processing activities and assets, to include associated data flow mappings

Advance processes for the integration of the Privacy by Design and Data Protection principles into HP HR practices

Drive consensus around solutions to Privacy by Design requirements, including conducting privacy impact assessments on internal/external tools, processes, products, solutions, and services, as they relate to HP HR and People Insights

Partner with the Privacy Office on regular privacy assessments of operational processes

Ensure that encryption, data security, and privacy controls are well understood and managed within HP HR

Support Privacy operations processes including resolution of Data Subject Requests (DSR) and vendor risk management

Drive the mitigation of risk

Advance privacy accountability in HR through effective tools, training, and guidance

Communicate program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to key stakeholders

Act as key interface between HR and other data privacy governance requirements and acts in HP

Education and Experience:Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Business Management, Law ( J.D. or LL.M.), or related Data Privacy education and experience

8+ years Project and People Management experience

PMP/PMI certification preferred

Privacy certification preferred (CIPP-E, CIPP-US, CIPM)

Experience applying global privacy risk management principles

5 years' experience in privacy / data protection

Knowledge and Skills:Knowledge of foundational requirements of privacy law (GDPR, CCPA) and industry best practices

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), particularly the ability to communicate with diplomacy, credibility, and confidence

Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results; and negotiate options at senior management levels

Demonstrated business acumen and successful experience managing all aspects of programs, including communicating with stakeholders and directing cross-functional teams and resources

Ability to exercise good judgement and balance risks in ambiguous and complex situations

As part of this effort, HP is seeking an experienced and innovative Global Human Resources (HR) Privacy Program Manager to join the Human Resources People Insights team. The Privacy Program Manager will lead efforts across HR to ensure regulatory implementation, and to establish trusted relationships to advance HP’s compliance with all legal forms of data use.This role will focus on legal, political, and ethical issues surrounding the collection, organization, processing, storage, and usage of employee data, and reinforce the expectations of what information may be shared with whom. The Privacy Program Manager will work to align Privacy by Design principles at the earliest stages of analytics and insights development and ensure the business requirements of the accumulation, analysis and actions taken with data meet established regulatory compliance needs. Further, the Privacy Program Manager will assist in developing new uses of data through programs, reviews, and initiatives in the areas of privacy, data protection, governance, and security across our HR organization.The Privacy Program Manager will be responsible for interacting with internal Legal, Compliance, Governance, and Data Protection teams, as well as developing metrics to track, demonstrate, and expand compliant data use. Additional work may be required to conduct data privacy impact assessments, information security gap analysis, and privacy audits. Responsibilities will also include implementing requirements and processes to ensure HP’s high ethical standards are met throughout the data use lifecycle.The ideal candidate will be encouraged and expected to be an active industry participant and contributor in privacy forums and organizations.
