Description Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for a contract Safety Coordinator to join the team of an organization in the clean energy industry. This position is fully onsite and will have two locations to report to: Vancouver and Portland.In this position, you will be responsible for:
Act as an on-site escort, overseeing work activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project timelines
Monitor work processes, ask relevant questions, and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe working environment
Escalate safety issues to the Safety Manager and Project Managers as required, providing detailed reports
Conduct daily debriefs to update stakeholders on project timelines and any incidents that occurred during the day
Serve as a coordinator between vendors/contractors and project managers to facilitate seamless workflow and communication
Complete OSHA training and stay updated on safety regulations and best practices
Requirements
Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably in a construction or industrial setting
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to safety management
