This person should be highly motivated and able to work with little supervision on very important plant safety systems. Good documentation skills and attention to detail are required.JOB DUTIESThis position on the Security Team is mainly responsible for weekly site wide eyewash / safety shower checks (approximately 245 units). This includes: Perform checks on units in areas as required including in clean rooms, facilities areas, and chemical areas. Follow clean room protocol: wear clean room gown, appropriate PPE, including but not limited to gloves, safety glasses, etc. Follow non-clean room protocol when not in clean rooms: wear security uniform, blue smock, safety glasses, and bouffant as needed.This position is also responsible for processing attendees for weekly Contractor Safety Training. This includes: Work closely with the Human Resources and Safety departments Maintain badge database – will require computer skills using spreadsheet, database, and word processing software with high degree of accuracy. Maintain badge printer & supplies: keep inventory stocked – requires filling out POs to ensure adequate stock of lanyards, badge cards, printer ribbon, and laminate. Work with vendor to ensure machine is working correctly and perform routine maintenance as needed.Additional duties include: Back up Shift Lead as required, this position requires training in the operations of the Emergency Operations Center with potential advancement to Shift Lead. Must be willing to learn and understand all aspects of the Shift Lead position including learning the alarm panels and how to call out alarms correctly, and responding to and assist with various emergency situations (medical, evacuations, fire alarms, etc.) Work with other departments and support company security policies Able to cover Security Rover or Main Gate positions as necessary. Process badges for visiting Japanese Vendors – including the occasional badge processing by appointment. Responsible for processing Temporary Badge & Parking Pass logs and assist Human Resources write disciplinary actions. Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Excellent organization and planning skills are essential for success. Acute attention to detail. High level of discretion working with highly confidential and/or proprietary information. Able to maintain confidentiality regarding employees and SEH business matters (both internally and outside the workplace). Must be resourceful and comfortable collecting information from internal and external contacts. Capable of making common sense decisions using available information. Strong telephone and interpersonal communication skills. Able to communicate information clearly and accurately to internal staff and external contacts. Able to remain calm and professional in occasionally difficult situations and / or with difficult people. Must effectively interact with all levels of company personnel. Able to retain substantial knowledge of company policies and procedures. Able or willing to learn to work with complex alarm systems, security cameras, telephone switchboard, hand radio transceivers, public address systems, and site-wide notification systems. Able or willing to learn First Aid / CPR with the intention of providing first aid treatment while on shift as necessary. Must be well-versed in Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have a valid driver’s licensePREFERRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Experience learning new computer software and systems Experience with Simplex or other fire monitoring systems Experience with a facilities management and control systems Experience with camera investigations and monitoring Knowledge of current plant layout and chartsWORKING CONDITIONSSecurity personnel work in all types of weather conditions outdoors and in all parts of the plant. Must be able to read, comprehend, and execute complex instructions and safety procedures. Must be able to work in a clean room environment wearing clean room suite, hood, booties, safety glasses and gloves. They must be adaptable to working in noisy areas and in proximity to a vast array of chemicals. May be exposed to wet areas. Required to occasionally climb stairs and ladders. Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs. Kneeling, bending and crouching positions may be required. Must be safety conscious at all times.
