Grow your HR career where people, forests and purpose come together.We’re looking for an HR Business Partner, PRT South to join our People and Culture team and support our U.S. operations while based in Washington, North Carolina. Reporting to the Director, People and Culture, this newly created role is an opportunity to make an impact in an organization where people are passionate about our forests, committed to safety and proud of delivering exceptional quality. You’ll join a small, tight-knit and dedicated HR team to provide hands-on support across the employee lifecycle - from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, performance, policies, compensation and HR programs.This is a role for someone who enjoys doing as much as advising. You might be writing a job description or offer letter, improving an HR process, or coaching a manager through a complex situation. You’re comfortable getting into the details, building trusted relationships and stepping in wherever needed to help the team and our U.S. operations succeed.Travel to other PRT U.S. sites will be required as business needs arise.What will YOU be doing as an HR Business Partner?HR Business Partnership & Employee RelationsPartner with leaders on performance management, employee engagement, recognition, compensation administration and workplace practices.Coach managers through employee relations and performance concerns.Support employee terminations, job changes and other employee matters, including appropriate documentation and required review.Recruitment, Onboarding & Employee LifecycleUndertake recruitment activities including resume tracking and distribution, development of job descriptions and postings, interview coordination and preparation, offer and welcome letter preparationAdminister Form I-9 and drug-screening processes.Support onboarding and provide Payroll with new-hire documentation.Prepare documentation for position changes, salary adjustments and other employment changes.HR Programs, Policies & ComplianceMaintain and develop the U.S. employee handbook and People & Culture policies.Monitor changes in U.S. employment requirements and recommend updates to maintain accuracy and compliance.Administer leaves of absence and return-to-work processes in coordination with external providers.Maintain confidential employee documentation and compliant records.Performance, Compensation & Benefits SupportSupport annual goal-setting, mid-year and year-end performance processes.Assist with annual compensation adjustments and Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) administration.Respond to employee and manager questions regarding compensation and benefits.Contribute to compensation and benefit surveys, comparisons and recommendations.People & Culture Operations & Continuous ImprovementSupport recognition programs, employee communications and other People & Culture initiatives.Partner with Payroll and other functions to resolve issues and improve processes.Review HR processes and recommend improvements to efficiency and accuracy.Provide HR inbox and team coverage as required, including coverage for assigned responsibilities during the Director’s absence.Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Performance Bonus
