Vin du Lac Winery Bistro is now hiring for the season. Positions are available immediately and throughout the season. Full and part time is available. Season ends October 15, but some positions may last longer. All positions require a current food handler's permit, Alcohol Class 12 permit for front of house, the ability to stand/walk for the entire shift, and the ability to lift 35 lbs repeatedly. Back of House positions:
Line Cook; PT or FT; Experience preferred; must have the following:
Professional knowledge of food prep and presentation
Able to maintain clean &; organized station/kitchen per health standards
Maintain bathroom and service areas daily
Speak clearly and loudly
Front of House Positions:
Host
Manage reservation system and handle phone calls
Organize daily table service
Manage multiple customers during table seating
Effectively communicate with Chef regarding available seats and timing
Think quickly to resolve seating issues, walk-in customers, large groups
Prepare seating areas prior to service; move tables, chairs; provide menus, waters, silverware
Assist with table bussing and end of shift clean up.
Wine Bar associates
Wine sales; retail, tastings, and restaurant
Help with Catered event wine service
Engage customers and sell wine club memberships
Assist Club members with their accounts and wine pick ups
Restock wine in all service areas
Food sales at wine bar
Assist servers as bar-back and food delivery during high demand periods
Handle multiple transactions in Ipad Pos system
End of night reporting
Wine/Food servers; server experience preferred; must be 21 years or older and:
Be willing to work food server shifts, wine bar shifts and catered event shifts.
Wine knowledge is helpful, but training is provided.
Customer service experience preferred; must be professional and polite.
Be able to handle stressful situations
Be able to handle multiple tables/transactions at a time
Help with wine stocking, recorking, and reporting
Must be a team player
All FOH positions-maintain cleanliness of all service areas and bathrooms, roll silverware, help bus tables as needed, restock wine, reset tables/chairs, and more.
