Leading electrical & architectural sign company Tube Art Group is looking for a motivated and experienced Accounting Assistant to join our outstanding accounting team in Yakima, Washington. This position will work under the direction of the Accounting Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs invoicing using a variety of in-house and third-party software programs.
Verifies the need for and creates appropriate lien waivers requested by our customers.
Prepares billing adjustments as directed by Management.
Makes collection calls when requested by the primary collector.
Receives and responds to inquiries from customers and other interested third parties as necessary.
Handles requests for documentation and conducts research resulting from payment inquiries.
Backup for accounts payable.
Assists obtaining certificates of insurance from vendors and obtaining certificates of insurance for customers.
Handles changing priorities and other duties assigned.
All duties to be done accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintains good customer relations.
OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
Opening and distributing mail.
Act as backup for other accounting functions as needed.
And other duties as assigned by supervisor.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Two years of accounts receivable experience.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of computerized accounting systems.
Ten-key by touch.
Effective organizational skills.
No walk in's or phone calls please.
