Nature of Work:
Under limited supervision, reporting to the Deputy Director of Marketing, performs highly responsible technical and analytical work to manage, monitor, and evaluate the traditional lottery gaming system contract, develops contract specifications for advertising and other marketing related agreements as assigned, manages the corporate retail sales management program for the WV Lottery to include routine sales analysis and review, recommends sales strategy and implementation of both in store and field sales promotions to Deputy Director using industry best practices in retail sales and account management. Serves as liaison to the vendor for the marketing and sales deliverables per the gaming system contract. Develops weekly, monthly and ad hoc sales analysis. Assists in the development and implementation of the instant scratch-off ticket process. Work is performed within the lottery statute, regulations, polices, procedures and vendor contract agreements. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in retail or field sales or candidates with a master's level degree in business, marketing, or related field. Applicants are subject to an extensive background investigation by the WV Lottery Security Division. No person shall be appointed, employed or continue to serve in any position or employment with the Commission who has been convicted of any violation of the lottery law or any felony or any crime related to theft or gambling or involving moral turpitude. The commission shall remove or discharge any person as convicted. Performs related work as required.

Training: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
Substitution: Experience as described below may substitute for the required training on a year-for-year basis.
Experience: Five years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in statistics, mathematics, public relations, journalism, communications, advertising, marketing, sales or closely related field.
Substitution: Master's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in a closely related field may substitute for one year of the required experience.
Special Requirement: Must have a valid Driver's License.
