Major Duties:
The primary responsibility is the operation and maintenance of a Class 2 water treatment plant. Duties include assisting with maintenance of the distribution system. Other critical elements of the position are the preparation of records, the training and assistance of other personnel, and the recommendation of purchases of chemicals, parts and tools. The position will take necessary emergency action in the absence of the plant chief operator.
Professional Knowledge:
High School Diploma (or G.E.D. equivalent);
WV Water Operator Class 2 or greater certification;
Ability to operate SCADA, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (preferred)
Familiarity with a membrane system (preferred)
2 years experience as a Class 2 operator or Class 3 certification (preferred)
