precise, thorough, and collaborative.Key Responsibilities:Security Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and address potential security weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications. Monitor security logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.Security Implementation and Configuration:Assist in the design, implementation, and configuration of security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, encryption tools, and access controls. Ensure that security measures are effectively integrated into the architecture and operation of IT systems.Incident Response and Forensics:Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate security breaches, malware infections, and other cyber incidents.Conduct digital forensics analysis to determine the root cause of incidents and recommend remediation measures to prevent recurrence.Policy Development and Compliance:Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures based on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Ensure compliance with applicable security frameworks such as NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP.Security Awareness and Training:Provide cybersecurity awareness training to employees and end users to promote good security practices and mitigate human-related risks.Create educational materials and resources to support ongoing security awareness initiatives.Other Duties: Other duties assigned within reason of current role previously specified.
