Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Care
Location: Fairmont, WV | Employment Type: Contract
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides compassionate, high-quality care to residents in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include conducting health assessments, developing and updating care plans, administering medications and treatments, and supervising nursing staff such as LPNs and CNAs. The RN ensures compliance with facility policies and healthcare regulations, maintains accurate documentation, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care.
Key Duties:
Perform resident assessments and manage individualized care plans
Administer medications, wound care, and complex nursing procedures
Supervise and support nursing staff; assist with training and shift coordination
Ensure timely documentation and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals
Participate in quality improvement and enforce safety/infection control standards
Provide support and education to residents and families
Qualifications:
Active RN license (WV) and BLS certification
Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred
Strong leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills
EMR proficiency
