Job Description
We are looking for a responsible Independent Contractor with an IRS issued EIN (Employer Identification Number) to contract for the pickup of specimens from various locations promptly for our client, package, label and secure them properly for drop off at Client’s location in Buckhannon, WV Mondays through Fridays, You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Pickup and Deliver a variety of medical specimens and light supplies from different labs along a fixed time route using your smart phone.
Follow routes and time schedule (Must be available Monday through Friday from 2 PM to 7 PM)
Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate your delivery vehicle
Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints
Collect and return data paper manifest
Collect full names of lab personnel
Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
HIPPA compliant
Skills
Proven working experience as a Self-Employed Contractor with a valid Employer Identification Number and Business Name, (EIN), Delivery Driver using a mobile application and hand scanner.
Valid professional driver’s license
Ability to operate vehicle in a safe and efficient manner in a variety of all-weather and traffic conditions.
Punctual, reliable and able to work independently with little to no direct supervision
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Good driving record with no traffic violations
High school diploma
Clean Criminal Background Check Results
No Drug Use / Clean Drug Screens, including no use of medical marijuana, willing to submit to random drug screenings
Able to track, report and maintain vehicle driving logs on a daily basis
interact with client's personnel and customers on a professional level as well as maintain a professional appearance and dress business casual
Fixed, unchanging schedule, contract work, no call offs allowed, this is NOT employment. You must be able to commit to the contract requirements.
Safe and secure handling procedures of delivery items
Prompt and reliable reporting of pickups and deliveries to dispatch.
Job Type: Contract
Flat rate Pay: $125.00 per day approximately 25 hours per week total, this is not an hourly job, this is a contract position.
COVID-19 considerations:
To keep drivers safe, all driver's are required to wear face masks and maintain a 6 foot distance from others. During Deliveries, Drivers are not to come within 6 feet of a delivery customer.
