Job Summary:The Warehouse Material Handler ensures inventory control management and warehouse operations for environmental services facilities, handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials safely, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
 Key Characteristics:Manage receipt, storage, and distribution of materials including hazardous and non hazardous itemsOperate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficientlyMaintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock countsMaintain warehouse organization and cleanlinessDependable, accountable and diligentGood communication and teamwork skillsTroubleshooting and problem-solving skillsDuties and Responsibilities:Receive incoming shipments of goods, often using forklifts or other equipment to unload trucks and other delivery vehicles. Verify that the items received match the accompanying documentationInspect items for damage before moving them to designated storage areasMaintain accurate, neat and complete records of all calibration/operation logs and reportsEnsure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standardsUse warehouse management systems for inventory trackingReceipt, storage, issue and stock control of materials in the warehouseMaintains all reagent and chemical inventory in the calibration roomAssist Material buyer in cycle count, blind and yearly inventoryReceiving, issuing parts listed for plant and field useResponsible for stocking spill kits, firelocker and housekeeping of waste management areasResponsible for rebuilding, testing all configurations of Cla-Vals and dosing pumpsHandling of potentially hazardous chemicalsResponsible for all hazardous chemical storage areas, deliveries, tank levels and dilutions during the shift.Follow safety procedures when operating equipment and handling materialsPerform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working orderMaintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that loading and docking areas are clear
