The Orthodontic Assistant we hire must have either formal training from an accredited Dental Assistant school, or recent on the job training as a Dental Assistant in an Orthodontic practice. Responsibilities:
Orthodontic Assistants play an important role in the overall operations of our dental practice. They perform chair side assisting with preparing and maintaining dental instruments and instrument transfer; deliver patient personal oral hygiene instructions; prepare dental materials to include cements and impression materials, removing excess cement from brackets and orthodontic bands; pour impressions and trimming plaster models for labs and presentation; conduct instrument cleaning, sterilization/Disinfection, re-circulation, and operatory disinfection; bracket set-up, among other clinical duties.
Desired skills:
⢠Formal Dental Assistant training from an accredited school OR on the job training in an Orthodontic office, is requiredÂ
⢠Orthodontic training or experience is required
