The Maintenance Journeyman performs all of the electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs and maintenance to the equipment.   It is a multi-craft position that requires mechanical, maintenance, carpenter, plumbing, welding, and electrical skills. The Maintenance Journeyman will:Install, repair, erect, dismantle and assemble all types of plant machinery and electrical or electronic equipment and component parts (such as motors, switches, control boards, PLCs VFDs, generators, circuit breakers, etc.)Inspect glass forming machines and miscellaneous factory operating machines, related parts and componentsMakes line repair adjustments to glass forming machinesWeld, braze, scrape, solder and cut various types of metals necessary for maintenance repairs and fabrication of new components and equipmentDetermines cause of breakdown or required repairs, reconditioning or replacementsThe Maintenance Journeyman should have:Experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting various types of industrial machineryExperience reading blue prints, wiring diagrams, shop hand books and layoutsExperience completing routine reports and correspondenceStrong problem solving skills
