Job Description

Jitterbit is seeking a Senior SQA Automation Engineer who is smart, curious, and loves the challenge of solving problems that improve the testing feedback loop. You'll collaborate with an agile team to architect, implement, and continuously deliver the testing tools and infrastructure required to run tests at scale for both our front-end and back-end components. You'll be using the latest from Node, Protractor, Jasmine/Mocha, and Typescript to accomplish these goals. You will also work with our DevOps team to integrate tests into our CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Selenium Grid, Docker, and other similar technologies. You will also be exposed to a lot of different end-user endpoints we are supporting from MS SQL Server/MySQL/Oracle/MongoDB, to MS Dynamics CRM/Salesforce/ NetSuite, to marketing automation systems like HubSpot/Magento, and other technology endpoints such as REST API/SOAP/FTP/HTTP/XMLetc.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate:

  • You have solid experience in QA Automation with proven ability to architect, establish and maintain automation infrastructure & frameworks

  • You have a proven history of effectively and efficiently converting manual tests into automation test suites at a reasonable rate with quality results

  • You are familiar with the following or similar frameworks and libraries – node, angular, protractor, jasmine/mocha, jslint/tslint, selenium, etc.

  • You are familiar with the following or similar languages – Javascript, Typescript, Java, etc.

  • You have experience in building API-based as well as other backend and frontend performance test frameworks

  • You have a solid experience in a CICD environment and using a variety of toolsets, utilities, and scripts during test execution such as Fiddler, Postman, SoapUI, git, Jenkins, docker, Kubernetes, hyper-v/virtualbox, yarn/npm, JMeter, JIRA, Github, etc.

  • You have the propensity to evolve our existing automation framework into the next level and with the relevant toolsets

  • You have experience with agile/scrum methodologies and a demonstrated ability to contribute as a quality engineer in an agile development environment

  • You have a working knowledge and/or experience testing iPaaS/SaaS-based products or other cloud technologies

  • You have demonstrated ability to utilize web APIs and technologies using SOAP, REST, JSON/XML to interface with relational databases, CRM/ERP systems, etc.

  • You are comfortable reading and understanding vendor API documentation

  • You are comfortable with setting up the appropriate vendor development sandbox

  • You are not intimidated with learning how to use 3rd Party vendor applications

  • You will assist in identifying the gap between manual and automated connector test cases

  • You are experienced working remotely with widely distributed teams

  • You can proficiently mentor other team members to build autotests based on established guidelines
