To install, repair, and maintain all plumbing pipes, fixtures, and water distribution systems throughout the hospital and grounds as needed. Installs and repairs plumbing throughout the Hospital grounds

Works on plumbing equipment, as assigned (i.e. sinks, commodes etc.)

Ability to estimate material and labor quantities.

Assures all tools are clean and kept properly stored for future use and keep good inventory on all materials.

Maintains acceptable standards as related to dependability and work habits including body mechanics and sound safety procedures.

Carries out assignments with minimal supervision.

Performs quality work and participates in hospital-wide Performance Improvement and Performance Improvement teams to improve processes.

Exhibits a pleasant and cheerful demeanor when communicating with patients, professional staff and departmental employees.Promotes the hospital image and maintains a helpful attitude towards employees, physicians, patients/residents, visitors and the community to enhance the facility's reputation as a health care center.

Follows hospital, state and federal guidelines for ensuring safe environment for workers, patients and public. Maintains compliance with hospital and departmental policies and Government Codes and procedures for safety, security, and infection control.

Exercises proper stewardship through the appropriate use of supplies, equipment, and personnel.Demonstrates good organizational and time management.
