Below, you'll find other important information about this position.The diagnostic Medical Sonographer is directly responsible for producing timely, accurate, and optimal quality real-time ultrasound scans for Abdominal/Ob-Gyn/Small/Parts/Doppler/Prostate/Breast Ultrasound while providing a high level of patient care. The Medical Sonographer is responsible integration and consolidation of radiology systems to provide high quality, safe and, and cost effective utilization of resources. The ultrasound tech must have an understanding of and be able to effectively utilize all required applications of RIS and PACS. Contributes to continual process improvement and implementation of training program for new employees. Maintains control of utilization of all ultrasound equipment and interfaces with physicians regarding department processes. Communicates responsibility and has continual interaction with the radiologists and staff to ensure effective patient care systems. This includes all related technical, quality control, safety, and operation aspects of the service.Work Related Experience: 1 year experience as Diagnostic Medical Sonographer preferred. computer software and database/spreadsheets knowledge and experience preferred.
Formal Education: Completion of an accredited sonography program
additional Relevant Experience/Education or Certification Required: Must become registered byThe American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographywithin 1 year of employment in Abdominal and OB/Gyn Ultrasound.
