IT Help Desk Technician

Description:This is a first shift Monday – Friday 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm, 100% onsite entry level help desk role. Qualified candidates must have an associates or bachelors degree and 1 to 3 years of related experience. They are looking for someone with some Help Desk experience that has a broad level of technical knowledge at a level 1 with strong customer service and troubleshooting skills. Microsoft OS and Microsoft365 technical skills are a must. Meets or exceeds department goals for initial contact resolution of issues and requests. Troubleshoots issues and notifications of system problems. Ensures appropriate and accurate escalation of issues that require resolution by other support groups. Provides Help Desk coverage adhering to standard operating procedures and defined processes with ability to work independently as needed. Provides follow-up to employees with hardware, software, application or process issues, to ensure productivity of all employees. Informally trains employees on the effective use of technologies - including computer, conferencing equipment, mobility, voice, network connectivity, and various software applications. Ensures Knowledge Base is updated with current information. In depth knowledge of MS Office applications.Skills:Help desk support, microsoft operating system, Active directory, Office 365, Ticketing system, Phone support, Technical supportAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Experience using ticketing system is a huge benefit.
