About the role:

We are looking for a skilled Marine Construction Laborer to join our team. This role involves installing, removing, and maintaining piers, boat lifts, and accessories using hand tools and machinery. You will play a key role in the construction, maintenance, and repair of marine structures, including welding steel and aluminum components. The work will take place in various weather conditions, requiring adaptability and a strong work ethic.

What you'll do:

-Assist in constructing, maintaining, and dismantling docks and piers.

-Load, unload, and distribute building materials and equipment.

-Operate hand and power tools; maintain tools properly.

-Strong welding and fabrication skills.

-Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

-Follow safety procedures, including using personal flotation devices.

-Clean sites and remove debris from barges and waterways.

-Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.

-Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

-High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

-1-2 years of welding experience – aluminum and steel preferred.

-Must be able to read simple blueprints and operate power tools.

-Familiarity with hand tools, basic carpentry, and machinery.

-Previous marine or construction experience is advantageous.

-Certification in CPR and first aid is a plus.

Core Competencies:

-Ability to perform labor-intensive tasks repeatedly and stand for long periods.

-Moderate to heavy lifting, including up to 100lbs.

-Comfortable working under diverse weather conditions and in water-based environments, with the ability to swim.

-Strong ability to work cooperatively with others, following directions accurately from supervisors and contributing to a positive work environment.

-Diligent adherence to all occupational health and safety regulations.

Schedule:

-10 hour shift

-Overtime
