The Working Foreman for ProFoamers, Incorporated leads the project staff on construction projects while working on the project. They ensure the quality of work and materials are held to ProFoamers Inc.’s standard of excellence. They are responsible for the operations on the site; ensuring that workers are installing materials, cleaning up, problem solving and/or reporting issues to the Project Superintendent, while adhering to the Safety Plan and maintaining excellent communication throughout the chain of command.
Essential Functions:
Provide the leadership skills necessary to accomplish the work for the General Contractor by the Project Staff and to manage the day-to-day issues that may arise.
Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions (for ex: weather, need a lift?)
Overlook ALL work of the project. Is it complete? Is it done to the high-quality standards of Pro Foamers Inc.? Did you miss any work?
Communicate verbally to the General Contractor’s Project Manager and Superintendent that we are subcontracted.
Make site visits with the Project Superintendent.
Ensure the Project Staff have proper equipment, materials, tools, etc. that are needed to get the job done.
Return all phone calls and e-mails in a timely manner.
Ability to effectively communicate with staff on what is expected at the job site.
Ensure Job Order forms are filled out completely with Batch #’s, The Crew on that site, Materials used and where it was applied.
Ensure the safety of Project Staff, by following PPE guidelines and by tying off to boom lifts or scissor lifts, proper use of equipment.
Report any equipment malfunctions, truck maintenance, accidents, tickets, etc. to Pro Foamers Inc., Project Manager or Owner.
Be aware of all plans and specifications for the project, you will be onsite working and leading the crew.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A valid driver’s license.
Must be willing to travel and stay overnight.
Experience in construction leadership.
OSHA certification a plus.
PERSONAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
The ability to communicate over the phone and in person with Pro Foamers staff, Project Superintendents and Project Managers
Honesty, integrity, and confidentiality are critical.
Requires meticulous communication skills (verbal and non-verbal) to effectively engage with parties both internal and external to the organization.
Decision making, planning, and organizing, quality orientation and stress tolerance.
The ability to meet deadlines, be prepared to work extended hours where necessary to ensure these are achieved.
The ability to “think out of the box” and identify areas and concepts that could place the company in an advantageous position.
The Working Foreman reports to Project Superintendent or Senior Project Manager.
