Superior Skilled Trades is hiring experienced Concrete Finishers for commercial projects in the Kaukauna, WI area. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with year-round work, excellent pay, and a clear path for long-term career growth.
We’re looking for reliable individuals with a strong work ethic and at least 3 years of experience operating walk-behind power trowels on large-scale commercial flatwork projects.
Position Overview:
As a Concrete Finisher with Superior Skilled Trades, you’ll be responsible for delivering smooth, high-quality finishes across a variety of commercial flatwork job sites. This role requires hands-on expertise in concrete flatwork and a willingness to contribute to all phases of concrete placement and finishing.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate walk-behind power trowels with efficiency and precision
Perform hand finishing for surface detailing and texturing
Assist with setting and stripping forms
Work with the team to place, level, and finish flatwork concrete according to project specifications
Support foremen with jobsite layout, setup, and daily planning
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Handle and transport materials or tools weighing up to 80 lbs (minimum 50 lbs lifting requirement)
Ensure the proper care and maintenance of all tools and equipment
Adapt to extended hours and late shifts to complete pours as needed
Arrive punctually at 6:00 AM daily, ready to work
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience with walk-behind power trowels
Solid background in commercial concrete flatwork
Ability to assist in all aspects of concrete work, from forming to final finish
Must own basic hand tools
Strong work ethic and a team-first attitude
Willingness to work extended hours when required
Must have reliable transportation
Must have hand tools for concrete work - hand finishing tools are a plus
Job requires proper use of PPE: Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Hi Vis Vest or Shirts, Gloves and Steel Toed Boots
Compensation:
$40–$45/hour – For experienced Concrete Finishers with walk-behind power trowel expertise
$25–$32/hour – For candidates with hand finishing or general concrete experience (e.g., flatwork, setting/stripping forms, tying rebar)
