Position Overview
The Restoration Technician is an entry-level to mid-level role, serving as the first line of response for residential and commercial property restoration after disasters. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in general labor, construction, cleaning, or disaster restoration. Extensive training and certifications are provided for motivated individuals.
This is a hands-on, field-based role that requires availability for an on-call rotation, emergency response, and occasional storm deployments. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and the ability to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency restoration projects (fire, water, mold, odor, trauma, storm).
- Perform demolition and cleanup tasks to prepare sites for reconstruction.
- Collect, inventory, and store customer contents as directed by project managers.
- Operate restoration equipment (moisture meters, dehumidifiers, extractors, etc.).
- Conduct virtual or in-person check-ins with project managers and crew chiefs.
- Follow safety and Clean Trust (IICRC) standards during all jobs.
- Accurately document work performed using company technology (apps, photos, moisture meters, iPad, laser tape measure, digital camera, GPS).
- Assist with large-scale event deployments (storms, hurricanes, floods) – up to 30 days per year.
- Be available for on-call rotation (nights/weekends/overnight as needed)
- Participate in ongoing training and certification courses provided by the company.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and PPE in clean, safe working order.
- Provide professional, courteous communication with clients on-site.
Schedule & Work Expectations
- Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–5:30 PM (40 hrs/week).
- On-call rotation: Week-long shifts (Monday–Monday) covering evenings, weekends, and overnight emergencies.
- Travel/Deployment: Must be able to deploy for up to 30 days for major events (e.g., hurricanes).
Required Qualifications
- Location: This position requires living within a 30-minute radius of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
- Valid Driver’s License and personal cell phone (stipend provided).
- Prior experience in construction, demolition, or cleaning industries.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent English (C1/C2 level, written & spoken).
- Strong physical ability (lift up to 75 lbs., carry up to 50 lbs., stand for long hours, climb stairs).
- Professional appearance and customer-service mindset.
- Ability to work in all environmental conditions (heat, cold, wet, confined spaces).
- Pass a background check (recent DUIs or multiple driving offenses may disqualify).
- Proof of authorization to work in the United States (I-9 documents)
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
- Six months or more of disaster restoration experience.
- Industry certifications (Water, Fire, Mold, Carpet, Odor) – company will sponsor training if not held.
- Familiarity with restoration tools/equipment (moisture meters, laser tape, iPads).
- Clean Trust (IICRC) certification.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $20–$24/hr (depending on experience & certifications).
- Employment: W-2 employment, bi-weekly pay via direct deposit.
- Overtime: For 40+ hours per week (Overtime at 1.5x after 40 hrs.)
- Benefits: Medical, dental, vision (eligible after 60 days).

- Paid Time Off: 40 hours of PTO (this usually covers sick days, personal days, or general time off, 40 hours of vacation time (specifically for vacation). 80 hours (two weeks) of paid leave, split between PTO and vacation.
