ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Join our dynamic team as a Business Development professional, where you will support our efforts in Western Wisconsin. You'll be instrumental in executing our sales strategy, engaging both existing and potential customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions across various Low Voltage Markets, including, Fire Alarm, Access Control, A/V, CCTV, and perimeter protection. Your role will collaborate with architects and engineers, attend trade shows and industry gatherings, and foster relationships with clients and vendors alike. The main location for this position will be our Hudson office, with the flexibility to also work from our Chippewa Falls office.

Sell electronic integrated systems in the Low Voltage Markets, Fire Alarm, Access Control, A/V, CCTV and perimeter protection.

Sell Monitoring and Service plans for all of the systems listed above.

Work with architects and engineers to keep them up to date with new products.

Attend trade shows and industry meetings to promote and educate on products and capabilities.

Develop and maintain strong, positive working relationships with current and prospective client base.

Establish buying influences, budgets and purchasing criteria for assigned accounts.

Develop and maintain strong, positive working relationships with product vendors.

Prepare sales information for customers with assistance from our Corporate Marketing Specialist.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in low voltage electrical sales, project management or related field.

Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the low voltage electrical industry.

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, sales tactics, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods and the coordination of manpower and resources.

Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish the goals.

Ability to understand the scope of the contract documents and the scope of the associated electrical work to be performed.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Self-motivated and results driven.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn internal software program.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional office environment.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.

This position requires the ability to lift files and open file cabinets.

Employees are frequently required to sit, stand, and occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, or crouch.

This position may occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
