Job DescriptionThis individual will play a crucial role in efficiently managing and optimizing the organization's technology assets. This role involves overseeing the complete lifecycle of hardware and software assets, tracking inventory, ensuring compliance, and planning for business continuity. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of technology asset management best practices, and the ability to collaborate across departments. Maintains a comprehensive inventory of all technology assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and peripherals. Continuously updates asset records to reflect changes, additions, disposals, and transfers. Conducts regular physical audits to ensure accuracy in asset records.Develops and implements asset lifecycle management strategies, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal. Identifies opportunities for cost savings and asset optimization. Ensures that technology assets are properly maintained and meet performance standards.Collaborates with vendors to negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements. Monitors vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations. Stays informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to make informed procurement decisions.Ensures software license compliance by tracking license usage, renewals, and compliance audits. Assists in managing software license agreements and negotiations. Implements and enforces software usage policies to prevent non-compliance issues.Develops and maintains a comprehensive business continuity plan related to technology assets. Identifies critical assets and establishes backup and recovery procedures. Tests and updates business continuity plans regularly to ensure they remain effective.Generates regular reports on asset utilization, costs, and compliance status. Analyzes data to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Provides recommendations to management based on analysis results.Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation related to asset management processes and procedures. Familiarity with asset tracking and management software. Strong understanding of software licensing and compliance.
