Human Resource ManagerWork Mode: OnsiteLocation: Onsite at Kohler, WI (Plant Environment)OpportunityUnder the direction of the Associate Director-Human Resources, K&B Kohler Campus Operations, this position’s primary responsibility will be to provide HR Generalist support for manufacturing and administrative areas within Kitchen and Bath facilities on the Kohler, Wisconsin campus. The position supports the business unit and leads business unit managers in the activity of linking HR activity to the success and strength of the organizations. The position interfaces in all aspects of the business unit, its customers and especially its associates bringing HR activity into alignment to organization goals and helps the organization succeed through progressive and responsive HR practices. A team-player in the business unit, a partner with other HR professionals in business units, Centers of Excellence and Shared Services. The position is the interface with the business unit and common Kohler HR values.Specific Responsibilities

Drives organizational effectiveness through strategic recruitment, employee engagement, talent development, cultural focus, and retention. Understand unique HR issues in each area.

In partnership with Corporate Talent Acquisition, coordinate all business unit hiring. Recruit for all manufacturing and administrative positions. Partner with the business to fill key positions, developing sourcing strategies, and coordinating the total recruiting project ensuring timely action, cost effective strategies, and a professional and positive contact with all candidates.

Partner with external recruiters, university career fairs, industry associates, national publications, and other sources to develop candidates and build a talent pipeline.

Recommend and implement developmental assignments for selected associates to ensure exposure to key business areas and senior executives. Link into Kohler Co. overall HR OD and succession planning activity to share and nurture high potential associates.

Drive the usage of HR Dashboard metrics within an organization to better understand and proactively manage issues such as hiring and turnover.

In partnership with Human Resources team and business leaders, define, develop, implement, and evaluate strategies and programs to improve staff and operational performance.

Participate in the integration of new associates, working to provide coaching, mentorship and development opportunities that expedite an associate’s ability to deliver business results.

Partner with HR COE’s to be knowledgeable about the latest learning trends, technologies, and best practices.

Undertake special projects on behalf of Wisconsin Faucets and related Human Resources teams. Participate in HR activities and strategy to link business objectives to HR activity and programs.

Counsel Management on individual HR issues, performance problems, terminations, promotions, position creation, job content, job description development, CCR’s and ACT’s.

Establish and enforce all HR policies and procedures. Counsel manufacturing, non-exempt, and exempt employees with performance concerns.

Efficiently maneuver through various employment relations scenarios up to and including grievances. In partnership with the Employee Relations Manager, serve as a subject matter expert in HR processes, procedures, and employment law.

Skills/Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree

5-7 years HR experience with progressively more responsibility and a track record of results.

Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.

Previous experience working in a manufacturing company and union environment, strongly desired.

Ability to build relationships and earn trust across multiple levels of an organization and influence without authority.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
