As a Tool Room Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in our manufacturing operations. You'll oversee daily department activities, maintain tooling, and support production floor needs. Employees may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.Supervise and coordinate the work of employees as assigned in the tool room.Provide instruction and expertise in the build/development/maintenance of tooling to meet production needs.Must be able to perform all duties of a Journeyman Toolmaker.Help to troubleshoot and debug progressive dies and new tooling.Assist in press setup as requiredWork with staff to set and accomplish department goals while promoting continuous improvement.Periodic designing using CAD skills and the willingness to learn a variety of computer programs.Follow all safety and compliance procedures, holding team members accountable as well.Collaborate with other employees across departments.Knowledge of CNC and wire EDM processes.Order tooling materials through the tool crib.Complete labor tickets/data collection in a timely and accurate manner.Complete performance evaluations, training, and corrective/disciplinary actions as necessary.Possess tools of the trade.
