The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 within the HQRI Technology and Analytics (HTA) organization provides value to the HQRI Quality Audits and Compliance Support team by solving complex business problems using data from multiple (internal and external) sources. They provide insight to risk adjustment audits partners and support ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory bodies.The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 work assignments involve moderately complex tasks which include managing workflows, analyzing large data sets, and creating automation process flows. They will build pipelines and workflow tools that leverage SQL, Python, Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics (ASA), and Microsoft Power Platform to support multiple audits. The BI Engineer 2 will be expected to build data structures that provide fit-for-purpose curated data solutions. These designs will be supported and documented via diagrams and visualization that the BI engineer creates and maintains for peers and leadership. The tools and processes that are created will have a strong focus on increased efficiency, optimization, and scalability.Use your skills to make an impactRequired Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree

1-4 years of technical experience in data analysis

Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

Expertise in assessing complex data sets and performing root cause analysis

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Experience with data manipulation tools, business intelligence software, and object-oriented programming

Ability to design and build normalized data structures to ensure data efficiency and integrity.

Strategic Thinking/Visioning - Able to see and communicate the big picture

Enthusiasm - Exhibits passions and excitement for our work and has a can-do attitude

Ability to communicate findings and engage in dialog in a clear manner with teammates and business partners

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

1 or more years of experience in SQL, SAS or other data systems

In-depth experience in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivots, charts, graphs, etc.

Experience with data mining and predictive modeling techniques

Experience in automation and scripting languages such as Python

Ability to use data to drive business outcomes and decisions

Experience with cloud-based technologies: Azure Synapse, DataBricks

Demonstrated experience with PowerApps and other tools within the Microsoft Power Platform
