14338BRDepartment Name:HSP Marketing Location:Jeff Levy Education Center Job Description:The Manager of Marketing Communications is responsible for leading the development of strategic communications and marketing at UnityPoint Health – Meriter and elevating its internal and community profile. Efforts include leading local internal and external communications, as well as overseeing local marketing planning and execution. This role will serve as regional media relations expert, Public Information Officer and organization spokesperson as needed. The manager oversees regional content development/distribution and works in a matrixed-environment with affiliate organizations (UnityPoint Health and UW Health) to coordinate, collaborate and bring forward best practice. This position will require strong internal communication experience and expertise. This position is primarily remote but does require on-site work when necessary.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, marketing, communications or a related field
6 years’ experience in marketing and/or communications
Commitment to focus on key organizational priorities and strategies, as well as articulate with others
Strong crisis management and strategic planning skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for a variety of internal and external audiences; strong presentation skills
Expertise in public relations/media relations strategy
Strong people management skills, fostering a positive team environment focused on respect, growth and balance
Excellent organizational and project management skills, and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
