On-Site Staffing Services is looking for individuals with culinary skills and experience as a Cook, to join their Dining & Culinary Services team out in the Madison, WI area this coming Fall.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of food preparation activities and related tasks according to quality and safety standards in dining, retail, and/or catering venues to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve departmental food service goals.
· 40% performs routine and non-routine food preparation activities including cook to order and specialty foods
· 15% trains and guides student workers
· 15% greets customers, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation and associated activities
· 15% cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas
· 15% adheres to federal state, campus and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures
TASK
· Demonstrate and role model exceptional customer service
· Interact with English speaking customers while displaying knowledge of food products, allergens, and food safety
· Perform duties in a high-volume, dynamic, student residential dining environment
· Perform food production to include batch cooking, cook-to-flow, and made-to-order display cooking
· Provide support and assist as needed in the implementation of plans and procedures in the event of an emergency
· REQUIREMENTS
· 1 Year of food production or professional cooking experience preferred
· Preferred ServSafe Certification

· Must be able to pass a background and drug screening
