Karben4 is a brewery with a taproom and small kitchen located on the northeast side of Madison, where our kitchen is devoted to making high quality food that complements our exquisite beer (produced and packaged 100% on-site). We are looking for a Kitchen Manager who can work within the parameters of our small kitchen and produce creative, fresh food and to help lead our kitchen to do big things! Our current menu is gastropub/deli oriented, with an emphasis on freshness and working from scratch. This position would begin as a Sous Chef, with a training track that leads to management in one month as skills develop.
An ideal candidate will possess:
- A strong working knowledge of the food service industry, food safety, and service
- The ability to thrive in a work environment that fluctuates in pace
- The ability to meet expectations both as a team and independently
- Transparency and communication skills; this is a tight-knit family, where the well-being and happiness of our employees is of utmost importance in our establishment
- A passion for leadership that will translate to successful menu development and team management.
