Masters Level Art/ Expressive Art Therapist for Willow Counseling and Therapeutic Arts Center
Job Title: Individual and Group Expressive Arts- Art Therapist
Classification: Build up a practice to full time of 30-40 hours
Job Summary: Willow Counseling and Therapeutic Arts Center (WCTAC) is looking to add an experienced, passionate Art / Expressive Arts Therapist to our team.
Main responsibilities include providing mental health and trauma-informed therapeutic services to children, families, and adults including prevention, education, and holistic care.
Accountabilities:
Reports to Director and Program Director
Essential Roles:
Work within CCS model. Clinically assess needs of adults, groups and children and facilitate effective programming
Experience or willingness to learn inclusive, trauma-informed, mindfulness-based programming with a focus on art, expressive arts, and somatic approaches to treating a diverse population of clients
Our ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of a psychosocial functioning of diverse groups and individuals as well as application of expressive activities within a clinical, educational and/or psychiatric setting. These include, but are not limited to art therapy modalities, therapeutic art programming, somatic /dance, group initiatives, arts/crafts, music, outdoor activities, art media, psychodrama, nature based programming
Desire to promote and/or engage in diverse offerings of group workshops geared towards promotion of well-being and psychological growth.
Provide individual, adult, children and group therapy both at WCTAC office and at times in office site locations and Telehealth. (25% or less will be Telehealth)
Administrative and Other Functions:
Responsible for the timely submission of documentation into WCTAC system.
Self starter and experience with promoting and willingness to work collaboratively with Program Director to grow individual caseload. Ability to promote the success of the practice through training, presentations, meetings, materials etc.
Engage in individual and group supervision weekly
Comply with WCTAC policies and procedures regarding ethical and professional code of conduct as well as relevant credentialing bodies’ code of ethics.
Other job responsibilities as assigned by Clinical Supervisor/ Directors negotiated to meet the needs of the practice.
Job Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Expressive Arts, Art Therapy, Professional Counseling (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Social Work (MSSW), or equivalent
Not required but desired: Two years of direct clinical experience with individuals and children in individual and group settings.
Ability to clinically assess individual and family needs and provide outside resource referrals as needed.
Ability to engage with the Clinical Supervisor, other clinicians, appropriately and actively in individual and group clinical supervision.
Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Ability and willingness to continue in experiential growth and education as well as acquire practice skills.
Must clear all WCTAC required pre-employment background checks. No person will be employed who has been convicted of any offense against another person.

Responsibilities:
The expressive art therapist will apply clinical and evidence-based interventions to support individualized goals in both group and individual client settings to promote psychological, psychosocial, physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing and enrichment. The expressive art therapist will
Complete assessments and design interventions to address needs, goals, and objectives of residents and clients
Conduct one-on-one services, small and large group sessions, and other events for therapeutic and enrichment purposes.
Document clinical work and assess effectiveness of interventions.
Participate in regular interdisciplinary team meetings to develop, coordinate, or integrate plans and services.
