Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role will be focused on maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial transactions, and delivering effective financial support within a dynamic environment.Responsibilities: Accurately and efficiently process credit applications from customers Ensure the maintenance of precise customer credit records Act promptly and appropriately on monitoring customer accounts Manage the procurement and fleet credit card programs, including the monthly import of transactions into the ERP system Assist in the preparation of month-end balance sheet reconciliations Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and end-of-year journal entries Conduct monthly account analysis for assigned general ledger accounts Collaborate with various departments on any missing or inconsistent information Assist in the year-end close process, including audit support, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards Work with the Accounting Manager and Controller to create monthly statements and visual reports, analyze financial data, and recommend improvements Continually review and suggest modifications to accounting systems and procedures to strengthen internal controls Provide backup support to other staff members in the finance department, such as accounts payable and grant reporting. Requirements Applicant must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of accounting. Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory. Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations is required. Experience with General Ledger management is essential. Should be capable of processing Journal Entries with accuracy. Must have experience in conducting Month End Close procedures. Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting purposes is necessary. Experience in using Oracle for financial management is required. Familiarity with QuickBooks for accounting purposes is a must. Knowledge and experience in using SAP for financial operations is essential.
