Responsibilities:
-Oversee and actively participate in hardscape installations such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, fire pits and outdoor kitchens using stone and other materials; and landscaping installations such as grading, planting, sodding, mulching, and irrigation.
-Lead and supervise a landscape/hardscape crew to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.
-Interpret and execute plans and specifications to ensure project accuracy and quality.
-Operate machinery and equipment safely and effectively, including skid-steers, excavators, compactors, and other hardscape and landscape tools.
-Train and mentor crew members on best practices, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
-Foster a team-oriented environment focused on continuous learning and improvement.
-Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, crew members, and management to ensure project goals and client expectations are met.
-Effectively represent the company and build positive relationships with prospective clients, suppliers, and employees.
-Help identify and attract potential employees.
-Maintain accurate records of hours worked, materials used, and project progress.
-Maintain and manage equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
-Enforce company safety policies and ensure a clean, safe, and organized job site.
-Ensure all work complies with company standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in landscaping and hardscaping installation, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
-Proficiency in operating landscaping equipment such as skid-steers, excavators, compactors, and other hardscape and landscape tools.
-Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in installation and maintenance of hardscapes and landscapes.
-Ability to read, interpret, and execute plans and specifications.
-Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
-Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
-Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
-Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
-Experience or willingness to participate in recruiting, interviewing, and training new team members.
