Description and FunctionsOpen Until FilledGENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under Minimal Supervision, execute assigned duties in the inspection, preventative maintenance, repair, and operation of all assigned facilities roofing, walls, flooring, door hardware, concrete, fixtures. Assist with mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building management systems. Assess the urgency of maintenance issues, prioritizes work orders, establishes cost estimates, procures repair or replacement parts, and document work completed in accordance with established standard operating procedures.Human Resources Contact: Matt Nix 307-777-8120 matthew.nix@wyo.gov ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.Perform interior and exterior building maintenance tasks involving windows, walls, ceilings, floors, soffits, fascia’s, roofs, gutters & downspouts, doors & door components, door locks, exit devices & closures, door hardware installation, repairs, and maintenance.

Provide preventative maintenance to assigned facilities such as repair & install caulking, drywall repair & painting, ceiling tile replacement, hang pictures & amenities, install & repair furniture, assist with moving furniture & equipment.

Perform snow removal, assist with grounds duties as needed, repair flag poles and install signage.

Responsible for upkeep and preventative maintenance of assigned work trucks, equipment, and tools.

Reads and interprets building plans & prints, building O/M manuals, equipment maintenance manuals, mechanical and plumbing drawings.

Conducts monthly, semi-annual and annual inspections at facilities to ensure the facility and equipment is in good working order and in compliance with all federal, state, local and environmental regulations.

QualificationsPREFERENCES/AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:Required to obtain/maintain Drivers LicenseRequired to obtain/maintain Federal Security ClearanceKNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of applicable building codes.

Knowledge of hand & power tools, woodworking, metalworking, and masonry tools & equipment.

Knowledge of grades, kinds, and uses of various woods and wood products.

Knowledge of concrete masonry units & bricks, asphalt, and concrete repair.

Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws & regulations in relation to construction operations and with vehicle and/or aircraft maintenance facilities.

Knowledge of door hardware, locks, and keying.

Knowledge of flooring, painting, wall repair & ceiling systems.

Knowledge of cabinetry, casework, furniture, and furniture repair.

Knowledge of Locks, Keys, Doors, Door Hardware, Door Frames, and Components.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation:Associates DegreeExperience:0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Skilled Trades) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Skilled Trades LaborerOREducation & Experience Substitution:2-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Skilled Trades) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Skilled Trades LaborerCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:NoneNecessary Special RequirementsPHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:Required to travel up to 20% of the time.
