Essential Duties and Functions:
Responsible for maintaining a positive working relationship with shop Mechanics
Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with companies policies and vision
Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations
Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
Manage stock control and reconcile with a data storage system
Monitor equipment locations and make arrangements to move equipment throughout the company
Strong knowledge of various types of equipment (redi-mix trucks, loaders, dump trucks, backhoes, semi-trailers, aggregate crushers, etc.)
Record any maintenance issues and ensure the supervisor is aware of any maintenance issues that would inhibit work production or create safety concerns
Assess the value of equipment, repair cost, and utilization and make recommendations to management on equipment lifecycles to ensure equipment stays current and productive
Assist with equipment inspections to sell/buy
Coordinate vehicle and equipment inspections regularly to comply with safety standards
Coordinate with field and shop managers to schedule vehicle and equipment preventative maintenance
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and field managers
Analyze the equipment utilization and make recommendations to management on requests from the field
General Duties and Functions:
Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects
Consistently keep work area clean and organized to promote professionalism, safety, and efficiency
Actively participate in any recommended or mandatory training
Make safety the main priority while working
Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers and management
Additional duties as assigned by management, as this job description is non-exhaustive
Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work. (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours)
Position Requirements:
Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test
Experience as a Warehouse Specialist is a plus
Class B CDL is a plus
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
Excellent communication skills
Ability to operate a forklift, hand truck, and other equipment
Prior knowledge and experience of heavy construction equipment
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Detail-oriented and organized
