Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes has an exciting opportunity for an IAS Extrusion Form and Trim to join our team in Auburn, WA!Employment in this position also requires you to Lead, train and assist others as well as perform set up, operation and adjustments of a variety of mechanical and Numerical Controlled (NC) stretch presses that use Random Access Memory (RAM) action to stretch form parts and materials including reverse and double curvature contours to form aircraft production parts.Position Responsibilities:

Read and interpret engineering drawings.

Capable of visualizing a three-dimensional shape from a two-dimensional view, converting left-hand to right-hand views and understanding symbols, flag notes, and general notes.

Determine if own work is complete and correct as specified by instructions, drawings and specifications.

Operate computing equipment to access job information (e.g., drawings, specifications and other online information systems).

Operate man aboard electric stackers in a safe manner.

Follow oral/written instructions provided by the lead, team leader, supervisor and/or engineering.

Use various types of hand tools and/or hand-held power tools. Knowledge of proper use, handling and disposal of hazardous materials per government regulations and Boeing procedures.

Use various jigs and fixtures to orient parts into pre-defined positions for part fabrication and assembly.

Make complex layouts on forgings, castings, parts or assemblies in order to establish reference points and to check dimensions.

Lead others as part of a team which includes providing/coordinating on-the-job-training, giving and receiving feedback, and assisting in completion of tasks while utilizing good interpersonal and listening skills.

Set-up and operate various mechanical and hydraulic forming/punching presses using conventional and/or electronic controllers to fabricate close tolerance, high quality parts from various materials.

Mechanical ability, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required to fabricate, repair and/or grind various parts or tools using drawings and instructions.

Organize, plan, sequence and assign work efficiently.

Operate overhead cranes in a safe manner.

Use various types of precision measuring tools.

Investigate and resolve problems; devise and implement solutions. Knowledge of safe working practices, emergency procedures and possible dangerous situations.

Understand the application of technical documents/information such as BAC specifications, manufacturing plans and safety information.

Effectively communicate verbal information such as tie-ins and job related information.

Effectively communicate written information such as tie-ins, planning or engineering change requests and reports.

Use math that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

1+ years of experience using basic math (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)

Basic computer skills

1+ years of experience with using precision measuring tools and equipment such as micrometers, calipers and dial indicators, etc.

1+ years of experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Able to work 2nd shift & extend hours with short notice if needed to cover absences or adjoining shifts.

Typical Education:High school graduate or GED preferred.Relocation:This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.
