The Medical Patient Services Supervisor is responsible for leading the Medical Patient Service Representatives team in the day-to-day clinic functions. This position is responsible for ensuring patient flow functions run smoothly with an emphasis on 'team-based' care and focuses on the development, revision and implementation of policies and procedures. Supervise day-to-day operations of the medical front office across all CDIH facilities.
Direct Lead Medical Patient Service Representatives to ensure proper staff coverage and required breaks & lunches are provided.
Supervise and conduct onboarding/training of department personnel.
Oversee patient workflow and ensure calls are handled in a timely and professional manner, as needed.
Develop, implement and own the front office teams' policies and procedures to ensure standardization and efficiency between sites.
Understand, educate and train staff on maintaining appropriate boundaries with patients and referral triage of patients to appropriate clinical staff.
Required Experience:QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years’ experience with healthcare facility.
Minimum 2 years’ of previous supervisory experience working with multiple departments.
Minimum 3 years’ experience with Medi-Cal insurance eligibility, including Medi-Cal, Medicare, workers’ compensation, auto insurance and private insurance.
Minimum 3 years’ experience with an EHR, preferably EClinicalWorks or similar EHR
