Job Description:

Cayuga Centers is hiring immediately for Clinicians.

Location: Auburn, NY

Earn: $62,000 - $82,800/annually

About the Program and Position:

Cayuga Centers is looking for a Clinician who is passionate about strengths-based, youth-and family-centered work. As a member of our innovative Children and Family Treatment and Support Services team you will provide therapy, counseling and coaching services that are designed to offer goal-directed support and solution-focused interventions to address challenges associated with behavioral health needs through the Other Licensed Professional (OLP) function within CFTSS.

Clinicians provide clinical services to children and families in the home and/or community to help achieve stability and improvement in daily living and family and interpersonal relationships in school and community integration. This program provides ample opportunities to expand your application and experience of assessment, evaluation, and evidence based practice while supporting program growth within the agency and community.

How you get to use your skills…

Demonstrate your areas of clinical strength by implementing a variety of therapeutic interventions/modalities in your practice.

Apply and develop your clinical assessment and evaluation skills.

Establish a leadership role within the team as the clinical guide to treatment planning.

Become a primary support in helping children/youth and families respond and intervene to crises.

Utilize a strengths-based and trauma-informed practice to help families recognize and work through issues that have been identified.

Enhance the functioning of youth and their families while helping them build stronger relationships for their future.

Demonstrate an inclusive practice both in the office and in the field to support a diverse and accepting culture.

Contribute to a multidisciplinary team that shares your passion for children and families.

Schedule:

We are looking for an applicant who is willing to work a flexible schedule that suits the youth and family needs. This is a full-time, 40 hour a week position that will require evening and possibly weekend hours.

Experience and Skills:

Licensed Clinicians or those with a Limited Permit preferred, Masters level applicants will be considered case by case.

Masters degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling with experience in strength-based family and children’s services.

Experience working with children and families in a community-based or "in-home" setting.

Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

A strong belief in the capacity of people to grow and change.

Possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to appreciate and encourage diversity and understand the concept of cultural trauma as it applies to individual and family functioning.

Knowledge and experience formulating clinical diagnoses and/or impressions.

Ability to engage families who may have been unsuccessful in clinic settings.

Knowledge of the Child Welfare System.

Physical Requirements:

Computer work requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time

Time on your feet for up to several hours a day

Lifting up to 50 pounds

Time driving and/or taking public transportation to conduct client and family visits

Benefits

Pay is determined by education, professional license and years of applicable experience:

MSW degree: $62,000 - $71,300/annually

MHC/MFT/CAT degree: $63,000 - $72,450/annually

LMSW, LMFT, LMHC, LCAT: $64,000 - 73,600/annually

LCSW: $72,000 - $82,800/annually

120 hours of Vacation
