We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Foreman to join our Outside Plant Division. Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, the Foreman plays a key role in ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency on all assigned projects. This position requires a strong leader who is hands-on, safety-oriented, and able to manage daily operations effectively while maintaining Pramira’s high standards for quality and production. You will be responsible for coordinating crews, operating heavy machinery, and ensuring that each task is completed safely, on time, and to specification.
As a Construction Foreman, you will be responsible for operating a wide range of construction equipment, including mini excavators, skid steers, trenchers, directional drills, backhoes, and large plows. You will also safely load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment, locate underground cables using blueprints, and identify both marked and unmarked utilities in active work zones. Additional duties include performing pre- and post-operation inspections, conducting routine maintenance per manufacturer and company safety standards, and utilizing hand tools to dig or prepare trenches as required. You’ll be expected to organize job materials, restore disturbed areas, complete required documentation, and always comply with Pramira’s strict safety protocols and operating procedures.
To be successful in this role, you should bring two or more years of experience as a construction foreman, along with similar experience operating heavy machinery in both standard and high-risk areas. Hands-on experience with an RT80 trencher or similar machine is preferred. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is an asset, as is knowledge of highway traffic control standards, blueprint reading, and utility placement depths. You must be physically fit and able to handle a range of demanding tasks including lifting up to 75 lbs, bending, squatting, crawling, and standing for extended periods. The position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, including in trenches, tunnels, and manholes, as well as the flexibility to work long and unpredictable hours. Applicants must successfully pass a drug test and background check prior to employment.
