Hiring Steel Fabrication Fitters and Senior Steel Fabrication Fitters
Required
3+ years related experience as a steel plate fabrication fitter or related role.
Knowledge of welding processes and equipment
Ability to work 2nd shift 3 PM to 11 PM, with opportunities for overtime pay.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Ability to work onsite in our client’s Birmingham, AL location.
Proficient with welding such as: Flux Cor (FCAW), stick (SMAW), and mig (MGAW)
Duties
Responsible for fitting & welding jobs to meet specifications on T production drawings
Follows required procedures and uses appropriate jigs and fixtures in the assembly process
Responsible for preparing jobs before they are transferred to the welding department (beveling, labeling, & bracing.)
