Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.About the RoleTo troubleshoot systems and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on various equipment, while always keeping safety as a priority. Provide technical support for production and carry out the assignments and responsibilities given to them by the Press Maintenance Manager and Supervisor. Responsible for maintaining press shop equipment through PM/TPM activities as well as repairing breakdown conditions. Maintain, troubleshoot, and provide continuous improvement suggestions resulting in minimal downtime of manufacturing equipment in the assembly area. Support installation and modification of equipment to ensure quality control requirements are met and process enhancements are realized.Your Responsibilities

Follow and comply with all plant safety standards including LOTO

Troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of various manufacturing equipment

Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes

Effective communication with team members and other departments

Maintain integrity of safety devices including light curtains, safety gates, barriers, etc.

Assist in design and installation of new/improved manufacturing equipment, components, and processes

Make modifications to existing equipment as required

Assist in determining spare parts requirements

Maintain accurate documentation

Train operators and new team members on fixtures, control panels, etc.

Assist team members with running lines/presses

Who we are looking for

Ability to work in a team environment

Must have excellent mathematical skills

Ability to read and understand schematics

Ability to use testing and troubleshooting equipment

Must have a good understanding of rigging, cranes, etc.

Must have a general knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

Must be able to pay good attention to detail

Must be willing to work extended, weekends, or flexible hours as required to meet production needs

Must have excellent organizational and communication skills

Must have basic computer knowledge

Your preferred qualificationsEducation-High school diploma or GED required-2-year degree from a technical college or minimum of three years on the job training with heavy industrial manufacturing facility in skilled trade capacity. journeyman certification is a plus.Technical Training-Must have a basic knowledge of drafting (blueprint reading, dimension drawings, etc.)-Basic robotics troubleshooting.-Basic electrical circuit troubleshooting.ExperienceStrong technical background; prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred with three years minimum experience.What we offerAt Magna, you can expect an engaging and dynamic environment where you can help to develop industry-leading automotive technologies.
