At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture.SummaryCHS has an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Specialist for our Ag division to enhance organization performance through partnering with Ag division leaders in identifying new directions and implementing needed changes to become best in class. Specifically, leading rollout of continuous improvement, improving business processes, driving results by providing greater transparency into operations, creating efficiencies through innovative solutions, with a focus on standardization, process optimization and improved governance. This role will also lead efforts to find cross functional opportunities and synergistic savings across Ag division locations.This role can be based anywhere in the United States and will be remote.ResponsibilitiesOrganizational and Leadership Development

Optimize enterprise performance by partnering with business leaders across the company to define direction and implement changes to become best in class. Specifically, the transformation will include improving value stream processes, driving results by providing greater transparency into service level agreements, creating efficiencies through innovative solutions, with a focus on standardization, process optimization and improved governance. This role will also lead efforts to find cross-functional opportunities and synergistic savings across enterprise functions / divisions.

Solve unique problems that have a broad impact on the enterprise

Identify strategies for organizational improvement and help implement.

Anticipate and articulate emerging organizational needs within the division.

Drive process improvement initiatives across the division, anticipating and ensuring development and maintenance of robust, scalable shared service capabilities (processes, systems, policies/procedures, organization and compliance) to support the company’s growth.

Align the organization structure and processes as well as employee skills and responsibilities to stakeholder needs.

Project Management

Lead projects with notable risk and complexity; develop the strategy for project execution

Build relationships at all levels of the organization to facilitate collaboration across business departments and functions to deliver desired program outcomes.

Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans including leadership alignment and sponsorship engagement, communication and stakeholder management, role mapping and training deployment.

Conduct stakeholder analysis, organizational and business readiness assessments, evaluate and present findings with actions plan in a logical and easy-to-understand format.

Be an active and visible coach and mentor to project sponsors and leadership and have the ability to influence without authority.

Identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement corrective actions.

Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications (required)

High School diploma or GED

2+ years of experience in continuous improvement, financial analysis, ag business, business process improvement or project management

Additional Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, engineering, finance or related field.

Experienced in leading projects and organizational change management.

Experience collaborating with other stakeholders to achieve tasks (IT, Finance, Business Units, etc.).

Strong knowledge of Ag Business

Strong understanding of process and process design, including leveraging technology to achieve.

Excellent communication, organizational, inter-personal, staff managerial, problem-solving.

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize projects and deliverables, and interact effectively with cross-functional teams

Self-motivated, innovative, and ability to initiate and lead change.

Creative and change-oriented continuous improvement process skills.

Multi-lingual is a plus

PMP, Lean certification or LSS Green/Black Belt preferred

Physical Requirements

Travel around 30-50%.
