We are a maritime agency that has worked in Southeast Alaska for more than 60 years. We work directly with the ships to make sure that there stay in Juneau is seamless from start to finish. We are looking for motivated, hard working people to join our seasonal team for 2019. We have Full-Time Seasonal work (May through September). It is CLAAs standard for personnel to be neat and clean in appearance, effective and efficient in the English language, have good organizational skills, display a good work ethic, be detail oriented, and should possess good customer service skills.

Positions Available:

Logistics Coordinator:

The duties of Logistics Coordinator include sending and responding to communication by way of email, fax and phone calls with and on behalf of cruise ships. This position processes medical appointments and hotel reservations; tracks medical disembarks and lost luggage; sources ship provisions and spares; and coordinates travel arrangements for ship crew and passengers. Customer service, communication, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills are all things that this position requires. This position has one or more Office Assistant positions and a Dispatcher to directly assist the Coordinator in these duties.

In addition, the Logistics Coordinator needs to be familiar with data entry, record keeping, correspondence, and other duties associated with CLAA procedures. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required. We will train employees on how CLAA operates and the nuances of this office specifically.

Agent Assistant:

The Agent Assistant provides daily support to Vessel Agents and Office Staff. These duties include but are not limited to provisioning, transporting people, expediting luggage, light office work, hospital visitations, cleaning vehicles, moving freight and supplies, logging mail and other duties as assigned. Applicant must be able to complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner and be excellent in customer service skills.

Cruise Line Agencies of Alaska (CLAA) communicates through multiple methods and good interpersonal communication skills are a requirement. The Agent Assistant takes direction from a Dispatcher and checks in via wireless communication when away from the office.
