Responsible for full implementation and teaching of a Montessori multi-grade level elementary classroom. Will work cooperatively with school staff to implement a cohesive program. Responsible for implementing program description, diversity plan, program evaluation in line with school district policy, procedure, and school board direction. Will support Montessori education for parents, teaching staff and administration.Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in education.
Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) elementary training and certification/diploma, 6-12 (grades 1-6). Valid Alaska teaching certificate with elementary education endorsement, or closely related field.
Preferred Requirements:
Master's degree in education preferred.
Experience teaching in an AMI Montessori elementary environment and working with parents, parent boards, school boards, and administration.
Experience in team or cooperative teaching.
